Project Goal: The Sustainable Outcomes for Children and Youth Program aims to improve the health, nutrition, education, and psychosocial well-being of orphaned and vulnerable children, as well as reduce abuse, exploitation, and neglect among this population.
Project Objectives:
Orphaned and vulnerable children, youth, and their caregivers are economically empowered to effectively access core services.
Local governments and CSOs have increased availability and improved the quality of core services for orphaned and vulnerable children, youth, and their caregivers.
Service providers have improved the coordination of community-based clinical and socio-economic services for efficient and effective referrals along the continuum of care.

Project Name: Strengthening Positive Outcomes for OVC & Caregivers (SPOOC) to date
Donor: Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF), Canada
Project Duration: 2019/2020
Project Goal: To improve the social-economic status of OVC, Youth and Caregivers affected by HIV/AIDS
Project Objectives:
• The livelihoods of 60 Youth and 100 OVC Caregivers in the 3 Sub-Counties of Kasese District improved by the end of May 2019.
• Access to formal education by 190 OVC/Youth aged 8–24 years in the 3 Sub-counties of Kasese District improved by the end of May 2019.
• 250 OVC and 100 Care giver’s access to HIV/AIDS prevention, care& treatment and Child Protection services in 3 Sub-counties of Kasese District Improved by the end of May 2019.
• Effective project implementation through monitoring and support supervision to achieve the above objectives attained by the end May 2019

Project Goal: To accelerate the improvement of SRHR and HIV outcomes for vulnerable populations in the target districts of Kamwenge, Kyenjojo, and Kabarole

Project Name: Building Community-to-Clinic Approaches to Defeating Meningitis in Uganda 
Donor: Meningitis Research Foundation
Project Duration: 3 years
Project Goal: Individuals with suspected meningitis are better equipped to access health care and receive appropriate and timely treatment
Project Objectives:
• Increase community resilience through raising awareness of signs and symptoms of meningitis and appropriate action to take if affected by the disease
• Strengthen community based referral pathways
• Improve capacity of health workers to recognize meningitis and to report suspected cases.
Target Population: Community
Number Targets:
CHWs and ACODEV provide community awareness activities
Locally appropriate meningitis materials are designed and developed for CHWs.
30 CHWs (50% women) are trained in community awareness/ sensitization on meningitis
12 community leaders trained in basic community-based surveillance
At least 45% of trained CHWs demonstrate an adequate level of knowledge about meningitis

• Increased access to family planning services and information by Women in the reproductive 15-49 years in Kasese district by June 2022.
• Increased demand and utilization of family planning services by Women in the reproductive age 15-49 years and men created in Kasese district by June 2022.
• An enabling environment created to support accessibility, affordability and sustainability of the Family planning initiative in Kasese District by June 2022
