We strengthen community-based child protection structures and mechanisms directed towards achieving zero tolerance to violence against children. Through this component, ACODEV is able;
- To strengthen the capacity and working relationships among Child Protection Actors (CPA) at all levels in upholding the rights of children.
- To build the capacity of the communities to prevent and respond to violence, exploitation and abuse of children.
- To support survivors of violence, exploitation and abuse to access justice and other social services.
At ACODEV, we have responded to children’s issues basing on evidence and this is why we continue to works closely with Local governments to support the generation of information and have evidence through Monitoring and documentation regarding the different situations and state of children and their rights in areas where they live, also considering close assessment on the performance and gaps on service delivery at the different levels of the Local government structures that are mandated to deliver direct services to children under a number of thematic areas.
