We are thrilled to announce the commencement of a new two-year project funded by the Izumi Foundation, aimed at accelerating the reduction of maternal-newborn and child health-related deaths in Uganda. Building upon our previous efforts, this project will specifically target mothers and children in Luwero District, where access to quality healthcare services remains a challenge for many.
At ACODEV, we believe that every mother and child deserves access to essential healthcare services that can ensure their well-being and survival. Through this project, we are committed to implementing a range of activities designed to empower mothers and improve the health outcomes of their children.
Since the inception of the project, we have hit the ground running with various activities, including community sensitization campaigns, health education sessions, and training programs for healthcare providers. These efforts are crucial in raising awareness about the importance of prenatal care, safe delivery practices, and essential newborn care.
Our focus is not only on providing healthcare services but also on building sustainable solutions that can have a lasting impact on the health of mothers and children in Luwero District. We are working closely with local healthcare providers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure that our interventions are tailored to the specific needs of the communities we serve.
As we continue to roll out activities over the coming months, we are committed to reaching as many mothers and children as possible with life-saving interventions. Together with the support of the Izumi Foundation and our dedicated team, we are confident that we can make a significant difference in reducing maternal-newborn and child health-related deaths in Luwero District.
We invite you to join us on this journey as we strive to empower mothers and children, and create a healthier future for all. Stay tuned for updates on our progress and learn how you can get involved in our efforts to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families in Luwero District.
