Over 2,3372 teenage girls have been reported pregnant in Kitgum, Ngora, Lyantonde, and Kasese districts during the previous lockdowns. Unfortunately, these numbers are still on the rise thus the need for increased access and awareness about Family planning in our communities.
In commemoration of World Contraception Day, ACODEV organized a 3-day Health camp in Kasese, Adjumani, Mitooma- Rubiirizi and at the Head office in Kasangati- Masooli, from 24th to 26th September 2021.
We offered free Family planning services, HIV/AIDS testing, and counseling as well as Cervical cancer screening for all mothers in the community as we celebrated under the theme “Centering women: improving access to contraception for vulnerable women.”
We are thankful to all the stakeholders and partners who enabled this activity to become a success. @acodevu @bergstromfoundation #transforminglives
