ACODEV Previously trained 330 youth councils’ members from Kasese, Mukono and Wakiso districts respectively on different key development aspects that are meant to empower them and help improve their potential such as Advocacy, Leadership, Conflict Management, Youth Development Programs, the Vision 2040 for Uganda in line with the SDGs, planning and budgeting processes among others. At the end of the training, different youth councils from different districts came up with action plans on how they are going to cascade/engaged their fellow youth at parish levels in ensuring effective youth involvement and participation. The youth were provided with the training manuals to read and supported to develop time tables with roles assigned to all in preparation for the for the cascade. 

Basing on the above background, a total of 900 youth council members representing parish councils from the three districts have successfully undergone capacity building for similar key development areas such as Advocacy, conflict management, Youth development programs, SDGs, Planning and budgeting among others. This similar training is being cascaded by the parish council leaders to ensure that capacity building is cutting across from district to village levels.
